We offer pre and post natal mat and reformer Pilates classes, the latter with your baby. The pre-natal reformer Pilates classes are slow in pace and geared to strengthening the muscles required for a fit pregnancy but also softening where needed. There will be time in this class to look into how to modify reformer Pilates exercises in an open level class for pregnancy.
Our post-natal classes in mat and reformer Pilates are the first step back to Pilates after pregnancy. These classes includes rehab for the pelvic floor and helps to rebuild the core muscles. We advise that you start class after 6 weeks with a vaginal birth and 10-12 weeks with a caesarean after you have been cleared to return to exercise by a medical professional.
