FAQ’S

What should people expect from your class?

A strong slow vinyasa practice, combining a love of movement with healthy alignment; a safe and welcoming space in which to explore, enjoy and question the yoga tradition, challenge yourself, and develop a sense of body-mind awareness.

If you weren’t a yoga teacher, what would you be?

I already do those other things alongside my yoga teaching. I have been a dancer and a journalist, and I currently lead a centre for academic communication at UCL, teach politics and international relations and work as a yoga therapist. But if I wasn’t doing any of this, I might be a political economist investigating how to overhaul capitalism, and I would dance and sleep more.

What advice would you give to your 16-year-old self?

Be brave making decisions and be kind.

What do you do in your spare time?

Yoga (practising it, reading about it, attending training/workshops), dance (doing it, watching it), being with my family (including my three children) and friends (preferably with good food and wine), reading and writing about language, politics and education.

What’s your favourite asana and why?

Downward dog because it makes me feel grounded and alive in my body and handstands because they are so challenging.
